Cinema
Cinema gave me a canvas where I can go back in time and rectify the past, interpret the present and imagine the future. It gives me the freedom to create my own world. Which is why, through my films, I like to delve into the psychological conflicts of the human mind that manifest both internally and externally.
Driven by the desire to tell the story, despite the limited resources I took on the roles of Writer, Director, Cinematographer and Editor making Village Rockstars fiercely independently. Since then I have made films with a small team in Assam and with full-fledged crews in India and abroad telling realistic stories that explore complicated relationships, finding purpose, coming of age, life amidst nature.
Community
I believe it's important to be grateful for what you have and trying to give back to the society. I have been part of initiatives that raise awareness regarding preserving nature and endangered species... Although, small beginnings it's positive to see the community at work trying to bring about a change. Besides, I am also keen on working towards empowering children, youth and women in rural areas through awareness programs, film screenings and skill development.
